This afternoon, Recorder superstar reporter Jessica Maher went to the scene of an accident on Route 5 near Switzer Hill Road in the town of Mohawk.

Amazingly enough, no one was seriously hurt, although the driver had a few bumps and scratches. A full report will be in Wednesday’s edition.

You know I wondered if there had ever been an accident at this location. We would take Switzer Hill to 5 and then to Amsterdam and Exit 27 growing up. I always worried during the winter we would slide right down the hill and into the bridal shop that was there for many years. I do not like Switzer Hill even today, it is so steep.
Hope the person is okay.
